Types of Acoustic Underlayments for Tile & Stone Floors



Cerazorb® HD for Tile & Stone

High Density (HD) Acoustical Underlayment For Setting Ceramic Tile & Natural Stone, WPC & Click LVT Flooring.


Cerazorb HD is an underlayment made out of hemi-crystalline thermoplastic that will not rot, swell, absorb water and is anti-microbial. It has been tested and has the performance equal to 1/2” natural cork at a much lower price. Can be bonded to approved sub floors using Impacta T-950 bond coat adhesive.

ProBase® Rubber Underlayment For Tile & Stone

Made from recycled rubber tires, ProBase acoustic underlayments can be installed under floated or double glued engineered hardwood, laminate or tile/stone flooring for excellent noise control.


ProBase is the perfect product to use in lightweight wood frame construction due to its weight & mass. ProBase underlayment is available in stocked thickness of 3mm, 5mm, 6mm, 10mm & 12mm and offers excellent noise control for both airborne noise reduction & impact isolation.


Typical applications include; apartments, homes, condos, schools, hospitals and any areas where reduction from structural impact noise through the floor to ceiling assembly is required.


ProBase underlayment can be installed over concrete, gypsum topping and structural sound plywood sub floors.
